About This Class

This dynamic flow class opens with a detailed study of Tadasana (mountain pose), using it as a foundational template for alignment and body awareness that carries through every subsequent pose. From standing, students move through a progressive warm-up of low lunges and crescent poses on both sides, gradually building heat with standing splits, Warrior One, Warrior Two, extended side angle, triangle, and half moon — all framed around the balance of strength and flexibility. The instructor consistently cues inner thigh engagement, belly lifting, and soft knees to build stability alongside openness. A grounding mid-section features sphinx pose, cobra or upward facing dog, and forearm plank variations, followed by vinyasa flows linking breath to movement. The standing series deepens into bound side angle, pigeon pose, and seated butterfly before moving to the floor for bridge pose, optional wheel, plow, shoulder stand, supine twists, and a generous Savasana. Throughout, the instructor weaves in strong mindfulness cues — encouraging internal focus, stillness in discomfort, breath awareness, and letting go of expectations — making this as much a mental training session as a physical one.
