About This Class

This 31-minute approachable flow with Dan Ward opens on the mat in Child's Pose, inviting students to settle inward and slow the breath before building steadily through a dynamic sequence. The class progresses from foundational floor work — Dolphin Plank with leg lifts, Salabhasana (Locust) variations, and Cobra — into standing sequences featuring Crescent Lunge, Pyramid Pose (Parsvottanasana), Standing Splits, Chair Pose, and a revolved lunge twist. Side Plank with a leg lift appears on both sides, adding a balance and core challenge. The floor sequence wraps up with supine leg lowers, Thread the Needle, Supta Gomukhasana, supine twists, Happy Baby, and an optional soft Plow/Karnapidasana for upper-back release before Savasana. Throughout, Dan emphasizes precise alignment details — inner thigh activation, neutral neck, pressing through the earth to find length — framing the practice as a mindful check-in with where your energy is. The pacing is moderate, the tone introspective but encouraging, making this class especially suited to those wanting to move through stiffness, reset after sitting, or find a grounded midday or afternoon practice.

Best class I’ve done in awhile, a new favorite! Strong poses for the whole body and efficient use of time.
