About This Class

Bryan Kest guides this expansive 95-minute flow with a signature emphasis on deep nasal breathing as the true "meat and potatoes" of the practice. The class opens in child's pose with a breathwork foundation, then builds through three progressive rounds of a six-movement sun-salutation flow (down dog, cobra, plank, forward fold, crescent lunge, standing). Standing sequences include warrior/hero pose one-minute holds, single-leg balances, airplane pose, standing forward folds with twist variations, and a "pose without a name" (halfway lift with wide arms). A substantial floor section covers lizard/hip-opener lunges, bow pose variations, locust, side plank with shoulder openers, supine core work (single-leg lifts, boat-like holds), plow, shoulderstand, supine twists, seated forward fold, a wide-leg seated forward fold, and double pigeon/fire log pose. The class closes with a guided gratitude meditation and a long savasana. Bryan consistently coaches students to find a "sweet spot" between too much and not enough, discourages comparison, and frames the practice as building the muscle of calmness. Cautions or modifications are offered throughout but no specific contraindications are named for particular populations.
