About This Class
L.A. Traffic Flow is a wide-ranging, 101-minute Sunday practice led by Bryan Kest that mirrors the rhythms of Los Angeles driving — slow and gentle openings giving way to dynamic, cardio-touching flows, then back to stillness. The class begins supine with bridge variations, shoulder stand, and plow to warm the spine and invert the legs, then transitions through wide-legged forward folds and side stretches before building a six-movement vinyasa sequence (Down Dog, forward fold, chair pose, Cobra, Crescent Lunge, and plank/chaturanga variations). Standing work includes extended balancing sequences — airplane arms, bent-knee balance, figure-four balance, and straight-leg raises — followed by Warrior, prayer twist, twisting triangle, extended side angle, and deep hip-flexor lunges with quad stretches and reclined pigeon-style hip openers. Throughout, Bryan emphasizes a deep, fluid breath as the non-negotiable through-line and consistently invites students to personalise intensity, take breaks, drop knees, and use props. The class finishes with supine spinal twists, a rocking massage of the spine, a seated gratitude meditation, and a lengthy savasana.

Perfect balance of prep, strong flow & strength poses, with delicious deep stretches, finishing with meditation & savasana. Outstanding as usual! I’m so grateful to practice live and also to be able to catch the replay when I forget what day it is or to chose from such a vast practice library! Infinite love & gratitude to you all! Happy Holidays!
