About This Class
This full-length dynamic flow class moves through a comprehensive arc that begins supine with breath awareness and gentle hip-opening, builds through core warm-ups and foundational plank/Chaturanga work, and progresses into multiple rounds of Sun Salutations (Surya A and B), crescent lunges, Warrior sequences, Eagle, Tree, Half Moon, and Triangle poses. The instructor consistently emphasizes lengthening while contracting — stability over passive flexibility — and frames the practice as a "stability class, mental as well as physical." Creative transitions include knee-to-elbow cross-body drills, bent-knee Down Dog to Chaturanga, twisted lunges into Side Plank, and handstand prep via Standing Splits. The class concludes with long-hold Pigeon Poses on both sides, seated forward folds, Upward-Facing Table, and a slow descent into Savasana with Kumbhaka (breath retention) introduced during the yin section. Throughout, the instructor weaves in yogic philosophy — intention, self-study (svadhyaya), moderation, and the Namaste closing — making the class as mentally grounding as it is physically demanding.

I liked the steady pace of the standing poses. As the title says, not overly strenuous but a nice, steady flow that worked up heat and really stretched me out. Thanks Byron!

It took a little long for the flow to get going. But once it did, that shit was RELENTLESS !!! The standing poses simply *would not end*. Byron’s always great, so if you want an extra challenging class, this is it.
