About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this wide-ranging flow with a philosophy of gentle, curious self-care rather than ego-driven effort. Beginning in child's pose with an extended focus on deep nasal breathing as a mind-quieting anchor, the class progresses through Down Dog, Cobra, tabletop bird-dog variations, crescent lunges, and a forearm-plank knee-to-elbow sequence before building into two demanding "series of 10" crescent lunge stamina rounds on each side. Standing balance work includes one-legged forward folds with airplane-arm variations and a half-moon-style pose. A kneeling camel pose opens the chest and quadriceps after the lunge work. The floor sequence features a wide-legged seated forward fold with lateral walks, supine spinal twists, and an apanasana squeeze before a long Savasana. Throughout, Bryan repeatedly coaches students to tune into present-moment sensation, honor the body's daily mood, and measure progress only by the quality of attention rather than physical achievement — making the class equally suited to experienced practitioners and those returning after time away.
