About This Class

Bryan Kest leads this expansive Sunday "Master Blaster" class with the guiding principle that how you move matters far more than how far you go. The session opens in Child's Pose with a focus on deep, fluid nasal breathing before moving through three progressively layered Sun Salutation sequences — beginning with a simple Cobra-based flow, then adding Chair Pose and Crescent Lunge, and finally cycling through a "Series of 10" lunge repetitions on each side. Standing work includes Warrior/Crescent Lunge holds, Twisting Triangle, Extended Side Angle, Standing Forward Bend, and a demanding series of single-leg balances (Warrior III / Airplane, Figure-Four / standing hip opener, Karate-chop leg extension). Floor sequences cover deep hip-opening low lunges with elbow variations, Runner's Lunge twists, Locust, Bow Pose, Happy Baby, a wide-leg reclined stretch, Plow/Shoulderstand variation, Fish Pose, and supine twists. Throughout, Bryan repeatedly invites students to modify, take breaks, drop the back knee, or rest in Child's Pose, framing every suggestion as optional. The class closes with a seated gratitude meditation and an extended Savasana, emphasizing quieting the mind as the ultimate goal of the practice.

2 and !/2 weeks of dealing with inner ear dizziness and I made a decision to use yoga as my medicine. i fell all over the place but kept at it with breathing and modifying. It started getting better. I breathed through the fear of a spinning room. Today I did shoulder stand in spite of the fear and I feel amazing! I always say “Yoga is my medicine” and Yoga is my life journey. I’m beginning to understand on a visceral level why I belive that for me. Bless you Bryan for showing up consistently for us. It works!!!
