About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a rich, full-body flow that opens with mindful breathwork and builds progressively through multiple rounds of sun salutations (featuring cobra, downward dog, and plank), into a comprehensive standing sequence on both sides that includes crescent lunge, Warrior One, Warrior Two, triangle, extended side angle (kria angle), humble warrior, twisting triangle, and wide-legged forward bends. The second half transitions to the floor for deep passive hip openers — a half-straddle forward fold with one knee bent back, a supine spinal twist, and a double-pigeon/fire-log seated hip stretch — before arriving at a guided Metta (loving-kindness) seated meditation and a final resting Savasana. Throughout, Bryan emphasizes breath freedom over depth, "sweet intensity" over ego-driven effort, and the practice of maintaining a calm mind through challenge. The class is framed as training for equanimity both on and off the mat, making it equally suited to experienced practitioners seeking depth and beginners willing to modify.

This is a pretty dynamic combination, beginning with a strong, steady flow; transitioning into a wonderful lengthening floor stretching sequence; and ending with a really lovely metta practice and svasana. Thank you for this sweet class.

Great practice. I’m one you has very tight hips so cross legged is the only way. I appreciate your constant encouragement to do what is best for us. Thank you.
