About This Class
This class is built around the concept of intention-setting — exploring what an intention is, how it connects to mindfulness and action, and how the yoga practice itself mirrors the process of manifesting meaningful change. The instructor guides students through a rich, full-body dynamic flow that includes foundational breathwork (Ujjayi, mouth-release sighs), warming cat-cow and downward dog variations, standing balance sequences, Warriors One and Two, Side Angle, Triangle, Reverse Warrior, Half Moon (Ardha Chandrasana), Crescent Pose, Tree Pose, Eagle Pose, Dancer's Pose, Chair Pose (Utkatasana), prayer twists, Bow Pose (Dhanurasana), Locust, and Bridge Pose. The class weaves philosophical teachings on neuroplasticity, intention vs. action, mindfulness, and the Ayurvedic concept of "ama" throughout movement cues. It closes with a seated meditation using a box-breath visualization, three rounds of the mantra Om, supine twists, and Savasana. The tone is both motivating and introspective, making it ideal for practitioners seeking to reconnect body, mind, and spirit — especially around times of transition like the new year.
