About This Class

Hot Sauce I is a full-length, slow-burn dynamic flow led by Bryan Kest that opens with an extended settle-in period in Child's Pose, using nasal breathing and deep-breath awareness as the primary meditative anchor before a single physical posture is attempted. The class progresses through a carefully explained "dress rehearsal" of six core movements — from Down Dog through standing forward fold, flat-back lift, plank, Cobra, and back to Down Dog — before layering in side-bends, Crescent Lunges with core twists, Warrior I, balancing sequences (airplane/Warrior III variations), single-leg balance with interlaced-finger overhead reach, and progressively deeper hip-opening lunge variations including a bound shoulder-stretch version. Dedicated holds of roughly one minute in Warrior II ("hero position") and Extended Side Angle variations target quad, glute, and hip-joint stamina. A wide-legged standing forward fold with lateral reaches and arm wraps addresses inner legs and hamstrings. Floor work includes Bow Pose, Plow/Shoulder Stand with a Halasana transition, scissor-leg core work (Boat-style), and supine spinal twists before a seated gratitude meditation and Savasana. Throughout, Bryan repeatedly emphasizes personalizing every pose, backing off before straining, breathing freely, and treating the practice as self-care rather than performance.

Someone how the video skipped a whole section but that’s okay! Hiking season is here and I was tired from yesterday hiking!
