About This Class

This energizing flow class wastes no time getting the body warm, opening on the back with articulated bridge pose variations that activate the hamstrings, glutes, and upper back before launching into a standing sequence. The instructor guides students through a repeating crescent-to-standing-splits flow that progressively builds heat and hamstring length, then layers in warrior two, reverse warrior, reverse triangle, triangle, and half-moon variations with optional bound expressions. A twisting crescent and eagle pose challenge balance and hip mobility. The apex poses — full or half splits on both sides — are carefully prepared through the entire standing sequence. Backbending is a through-line: floor locust variations, cat-cow, and an optional wheel pose (full wheel / Urdhva Dhanurasana) near the end keep the spine supple and the back muscles engaged. Chair pose sun salutation rounds add cardiovascular challenge. The class closes with pigeon pose on both sides, a supported bridge, happy baby, and Savasana, leaving students grounded, stretched, and reset.

A little strong, a little stretch, a little backbending, a mellow pace and a little rest. This felt very complete for a short class and an excellent practice when short of time.
