About This Class

This 60-minute flow class with Bryan Kest is built around the philosophy of self-care over self-improvement — using movement and breath as tools for presence and calm rather than performance. The class opens in Child's Pose and Down Dog before moving into several rounds of Sun Salutation-style flows that progressively layer in Chair Pose, Crescent Lunge, and core twists. The standing sequence then explores single-leg balancing (Warrior Three / Airplane), bent-knee balance, Warrior One, Warrior Two, Extended Side Angle (Parsvakonasana), and Triangle Pose, with deep hip-opening lizard-style low lunges on both sides. A seated and supine cool-down includes a wide-legged forward fold, a supine knee squeeze, and supine spinal twists, closing with an invitation to meditate in Shavasana. Throughout, Bryan consistently encourages students to modulate intensity to their own body's signals, keep the jaw and neck soft, and treat the breath — deep and free — as the true measure of the practice. The class suits a wide range of levels, with frequent modification options (blocks, dropping the back knee, skipping rounds) woven naturally into every sequence.

For me, this was an opportunity to strengthen legs and improve balance. And humility. A very calming and centering flow. I really liked this class, and will add it to my “do again’s”.
