About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a meticulous, joint-centric flow that systematically warms and mobilizes the knees, hips, shoulders, and spine through an inventive sequence rarely seen in his broader catalog. The class opens in Child's Pose and Down Dog before moving through Sun Salutation-style vinyasas at a deliberate, breath-synced pace. Standing balance work forms the heart of the session: single-leg standing folds, Warrior III-style airplane balancing, and half-lotus standing forward folds (Ardha Baddha Padma Paschimottanasana) challenge balance and hip mobility on both sides. Arm balances — Bakasana (Crane/Crow), Tripod headstand prep, and Eka Pada Bakasana — are introduced from a deep squat with forearm and elbow variations (Dolphin) also featured. Twisting Down Dog variations and a shoulder-binding squat deepen spinal rotation and shoulder mobility. A Cobra backbend, side-body stretching, Supta Baddha Konasana-adjacent reclined hip opener, core scissor sequences, and supine spinal twists round out the practice before an extended Savasana with a focus on natural breath and Chitta Vritti Nirodhah (cessation of mental fluctuations). Throughout, Bryan reinforces equanimity, the value of backing off, and breath as the singular unifying pose of the entire class.

I love the arm balances and serious upper body strength. Lots of fun to mix it up… and I was sore the next day!

Loved this one. Although I found many poses challenging, I loved how Bryan talked me into each pose, giving so many options how to do it and enjoy the class. Pls more of that stuff…I love to challenge myself this way and still breathe :-)))

I was one of those people hoping we’d go back to the other stuff. My knees and shoulders had me in child’s pose for a lot of class. Still love Bryan tho.

Good for the joints. I have tight joints, giving them lots of love today. Just standing holding my foot with a slight bend left me feeling mighty good. Must be all that deep breathing. Thank you for the challenge.

Wowsers! First class back after 3 days out of town! At first I was thinking OH CRAP but then I was thinking it was exactly what my tight body needed today! Thank you!

Great combo for strength, balance and flexibility, working both muscles and joints. WIth a new pose and rarely used pose.
