About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this 70-minute dynamic flow from Mammoth Mountain, opening in child's pose and building steadily through a breath-first philosophy. The class moves through downward facing dog, cobra, plank, and flowing sun-salutation-style sequences before exploring one-arm balance variations, twisting lunges, warrior and hero poses, wide-legged forward bends, and dolphin pose. The second half layers in deeper hip-opening work—low lizard-style lunges with elbows to the ground, bound and extended side-angle variations, and a reclined sequence featuring shoulderstand (supported inversion), plow-inspired transitions, supine figure-four (eye-of-the-needle), and spinal twists. Throughout, Bryan returns repeatedly to the theme of moderation ("somewhere between too much and not enough"), encouraging practitioners to work by sensation rather than appearance, and to treat every transition as its own pose. The class closes with an extended savasana and a spoken meditation on impermanence, non-attachment, and presence—making the physical practice inseparable from the mindfulness layer.
