About This Class

Desiree leads an energizing warm-up flow designed to mobilize the whole body from the ground up. The class opens with a standing body scan and joint check-in — ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, and wrists — before moving into a rhythmic sequence of interlaced-finger side stretches, chest openers with hands on the sacrum, forward folds, ragdoll, and halfway lifts. Balancing on the ball mounds of the feet is woven in repeatedly to challenge stability, and finger interlacing is deliberately switched each round to build awareness and break habitual patterns. The flow transitions to the floor for plank holds, low plank (Chaturanga), baby cobra, locust variations with floating hands and feet, and upward facing dog with lateral hip-sinking knee bends to target the hip flexors. Downward facing dog serves as a reset between rounds, with pedaling feet and hip swivels. A standing half-lift twist with arm extension adds a rotational element, and the class closes with a yogi squat (Malasana) option — with or without a block — before settling into child's pose. Ujjayi breath is introduced as an optional tool for managing exertion. The instructor cues protection of the lower back throughout standing rises and emphasizes glute engagement and navel-drawing for core stability.

very nice and easy morning sequence to start your day and warm up. I had trouble following instructions though, I had to keep putting on my glasses to check out the screen.
