About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a sprawling, breath-first class that opens in child's pose and builds through multiple rounds of a six-movement flow (forward fold, standing, cobra, plank, down dog, lunge variations) before layering in side-angle stretches, warrior poses, twisting lunges, balancing on one leg, and a dynamic knee-to-elbow core sequence from down dog. The floor segment adds bow pose (Dhanurasana), cobra, plow pose, and a sustained shoulder-stand before rolling up to a seated gratitude meditation. Throughout, Kest frames every pose as a gentle "touch" for neglected body parts—hips, hamstrings, spine, shoulders, and glutes—and repeatedly invites students to back off, put their knees down, or skip anything that creates strain. The meditation closes the class with a structured reflection on gratitude, making mindfulness and emotional wellbeing as central to the experience as the physical work. Props are not called for; modifications are built into every cue.
