About This Class

Bryan Kest leads this energetic yet deeply mindful flow through a rich sequence that begins gently in Child's Pose and Down Dog before building through sun salutation variations, arm balances, and an inventive "trifecta" sequence combining Crescent Lunge, Airplane balance, extended side-angle poses (the "crunch" and "triangle"), and deep pigeon-style hip openers on both sides. Standing balance and twisting elements challenge stability and core strength, while Cobra and plank progressions build upper-body endurance with optional modifications throughout. The entire practice is framed around deep, free breathing as the primary tool for quieting the mind, with Bryan consistently inviting students to work to a personally appropriate "sweet degree" rather than pushing into pain or competing with others — drawing on Krishnamacharya's principle that the pose must conform to the human. The class winds down with supine twists, knee-to-chest compressions, and a gentle spinal rock before arriving in Savasana paired with a guided gratitude meditation, making the closing as intentional as the active work.

Strong standing sequence. The title says it all, but beautifully paced and never overwhelming. I really appreciate how everytime I step on the mat with Power Yoga, I don’t think about all the stuff going on in the world. Thank you.
