About This Class
Bryan Kest leads an hour-plus dynamic flow built around the philosophy that deep, fluid breathing is the foundation of every pose and every transition. The class opens on the floor with intentional breathwork before moving into Down Dog, a creative side-plank and lateral stretch sequence, and a signature progressive cobra series — "baby cobra" through "death cobra" — repeated eight times to warm and mobilize the spine. Sun-salutation-style vinyasas thread the class together, linking standing forward folds, plank, and cobra. The middle of the class digs into a rich standing sequence: twisting lunges, Warrior Two (hero pose) held for a full minute on each side, extended side angle with four-point opening, triangle pose with arm-reach variations, and a standing half-forward-fold balance with airplane arms. Deep hip-flexor and hamstring work comes through long-held low lunges (vertical split progression), with blocks offered as props. The class closes on the back with figure-four hip stretches (reclined pigeon), supine twists, and a full Savasana. Throughout, Kest emphasizes self-regulation, non-comparison, and using the practice as moving meditation — making transitions as healing as the poses themselves.

Always love me some Bryan Rest power yoga. Watch it every day and teach it to my students as well. This is my first review as I can’t help loving those dogs! Thank you for sharing them with us today!
