About This Class

Bryan Kest leads an hour-long dynamic flow class that builds methodically from child's pose and downward-facing dog into a rich, full-body sequence. The warm-up layers breath awareness with gentle spinal movement — baby cobras, a novel "push-up" transition between cobra and down dog, and standing forward folds — before graduating into a repeating standing sequence on each side: three-legged dog, warrior, crescent lunge, hero/warrior II, extended side angle, triangle, and revolved half-forward fold with a twist. Hip mobility is a clear throughline: seated butterfly (baddha konasana with a "open the foot like a book" grip), half-lotus forward fold, and a deep cross-legged hip-opener (resembling pigeon or firelog) receive extended floor time. Balance work — airplane, brucelyasana (standing hip abduction), and bent-knee warrior balance — challenges both stability and mental calm. A modified camel on the knees opens the front body before the class settles into supine twists and a full savasana. Throughout, Bryan frames the practice as an opportunity to cultivate calmness and presence, consistently encouraging students to back off, modify, or exit poses early rather than push to extremes.

interesting sequence. love the philosophy of cultivating calmness so decisions are more optimal. in a world that uses fear and chaos. Its nice to be encouraged to hear all the information my body is saying, even if i dont like it. no cancel culture in this practice . hear it ALL, yes. then, make decision. super om!!

I found it hard to believe that class was 68 minutes — it just flew by as we strolled through some lovely warm-ups, a strong leg balancing, lengthening and strengthening sequence, and ended with sweet hip opening and twisting. Wise, gentle, and supportive guidance as always, sprinkled with some laughter inducing comments. Another day, another down dog. Thanks so much, y’all. Namaste

Great class of Bryan as usual, with a very nice standing sequence. Loved the final stretches – so sweet!

Had a bit of a sliding doors moment you could say, when Bryan mentioned the tree loppers starting up I literally had workers start power tools by my house… 😀
