About This Class

Bryan Kest leads a flowing, full-body class that lives up to its "treasure chest" title by systematically visiting an unusually broad range of body areas. After a grounding child's pose and progressive down-dog warm-up, the class moves through several rounds of sun-salutation-style vinyasas (baby cobra, crescent lunge, plank) before opening into a deep exploration of standing balance work — including airplane, bent-knee balancing, and twisting variations — followed by Warrior One, Warrior Two, Triangle, and Humble Warrior with bound-arm shoulder openers. The shoulder and chest theme is reinforced throughout via interlaced-finger backbends, hands-behind-back forward folds, and a full camel (Ustrasana) sequence on the knees. The floor sequence delivers wide-legged forward folds, a reclined figure-four (eye-of-the-needle), and supine spinal twists before closing in a quiet, breath-focused Savasana with a gratitude meditation. Bryan repeatedly coaches students to stay at their own "sweet spot," keep the breath deep and free, and treat the practice as a loving dialogue with the body rather than a performance.

The sweet pebble ripples touched exactly how I needed it. Strong foundation with much needed release and relaxation. — Brian, Peoria, Ill.
