About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a flowing, full-body class that builds gradually from child's pose and down dog through progressively richer warm-up sequences — sun-salutation-style flows with crescent lunge, standing balances (warrior III / airplane, standing knee lifts, "Bruce Lee Asana"), wide-legged standing poses with deep hip and inner-hamstring openers, and bound shoulder stretches (Gomukhasana arms). The floor segment includes prone backbends (locust, bow, cobra), seated butterfly, supine core work (leg lifts, boat-pose twists), and spinal twists before a guided savasana with a gratitude meditation. Throughout, Bryan frames the class as a "yoga buffet" — deeply personal, moderate, and healing — constantly encouraging students to find their own degree, protect their knees, and above all maintain deep, fluid, free breathing as the primary practice. The session addresses the whole body with particular attention to the hips, hamstrings, spine, shoulders, and feet, and weaves balance, strength, flexibility, and mindfulness into every movement.
