About This Class
This class is a compact yet comprehensive flow that Bryan Kest frames around mindful effort — repeatedly cueing students to work at 30–60% capacity and honour how the body feels rather than forcing depth. Starting from Downward Facing Dog, the sequence builds through side-opening arm balances, Crescent and Balancing Lunges, Warrior, Triangle, and a deep hip-opener (low lunge with elbows to floor), weaving in Cobra and Plank transitions throughout. The back body is awakened with locust-style lifts and Bow Pose. The class closes with a Plow/Shoulder Stand inversion sequence — called out as the most potent pose in the practice — followed by supine twists, a seated forward fold, and a brief Savasana. The pace is steady but not rushed; Bryan's language is sensuous and permission-giving, making this equally accessible to newer practitioners and experienced movers who want a full-body tune-up without a long time commitment. Emphasis is placed on breath freedom, spinal length, shoulder opening, hip mobility, and hamstring release throughout.
