About This Class
Yoga Jolt with Bryan Kest is an expansive 99-minute vigorous flow that genuinely earns its name. The class opens on the back with restorative supine poses—knees-to-chest, spinal twists, bridge, shoulder stand, and plow—giving the body a gentle, methodical warm-up before launching into repeated rounds of sun-salutation-style flows. Each round layers on additional complexity: chair pose (squatasana), crescent lunges, twisting lunges, crow/elbow balance, side plank, awkward airplane, and standing balancing sequences that combine warrior-style single-leg strength, figure-four balance, standing leg extensions, and bound arm variations. Three extended one-minute plank holds and bent-knee plank challenges punctuate the flow, targeting the entire upper body. Locust-like back-body lifting poses and cobra progressions address the posterior chain. The class closes with seated wide-leg forward folds, butterfly, reverse tabletop, boat pose with oblique twists, supine spinal twists, and a long savasana accompanied by a guided gratitude meditation. Throughout, Bryan emphasizes breath freedom, moderation over intensity, and personalizing every pose to one's own body—making this accessible to those willing to self-modify, while delivering a serious challenge to those who don't.

I don’t know if this was just what I needed today, but WOW do I feel fantastic after this class! Sweetly challenging and it will be one of my all time favorite classes and moving onto my rotating cycle of Bryan Kest favorited yoga playlist.
