About This Class
This energizing morning flow opens with a wide-legged standing forward fold and standing twists before progressing through a methodical sequence of lunge, pyramid pose, half moon, warrior two, reverse triangle, and crescent pose on each side. The instructor centers the class around the concept of "oppositional force" — reaching in two directions simultaneously — to build hip stacking, spinal rotation, and proprioceptive awareness. Each side is repeated multiple times at increasing pace, building rhythm and momentum. Floor interludes introduce heel-to-glute backbend drills from hands-and-knees to develop thoracic mobility, plank knee-to-nose core work, and a bow-pose-inspired catch before returning to standing for triangle, half moon, and standing splits. The class closes with Baddha Konasana, a seated forward fold, and Savasana with a breath-retention cue to reset the nervous system. Props (blocks) are actively encouraged throughout, especially for pyramid and half moon. The overall arc suits anyone looking to warm up the whole body, sharpen balance and spatial awareness, and shake off morning stiffness — all within a compact, well-structured practice.

Short sweet practice to awaken the body.

This was a very nicely paced flow class that generated some heat even though it was only 30 minutes. It really was a great way to start the day. Thanks Byron!
