About This Class

This class opens in Child's Pose with an emphasis on deep, free breathing as the foundation of the entire practice. Bryan guides students through a progressively challenging sequence that begins with Down Dog and a flowing Sun Salutation-style warm-up, then layers in side-plank variations, baby arm balances, and standing balance poses like Warrior III variations and twisting triangle. The upper body is targeted heavily through repeated plank holds, slow chin-to-floor lowering (Chaturanga-style push-ups), Cobra and Locust variations, and a shoulder-opening Bow Pose sequence. A notable arm-under-leg balance (Eka Pada Koundinyasana-adjacent) is explored on both sides. The class closes with supine hip-opener and spinal twist sequences, finishing in a quiet Savasana with instructions to allow the breath to naturalize and the mind to settle. Throughout, Bryan frames the practice as a "sensuous dance," encouraging students to seek sweet sensation over pain, take breaks freely, and treat every cue as a suggestion. Wrist modifications (using fists) are explicitly offered.
