About This Class

Bryan Kest leads a 100-minute vigorous flow that builds methodically from child's pose and cobra warm-up drills into full sun-salutation sequences, runner's lunges, balancing lunges, one-legged standing balances (including airplane/warrior III variations, extended hand-to-big-toe pose, and half-moon-style twists), core twists, bow pose, and an extensive floor-based hip-opening and twisting cool-down. The class emphasizes intelligent self-regulation — finding the "sweet spot" rather than maximum range — and uses continuous deep nasal breathing as both a physical tool and a meditation anchor. Upper-body strength is developed through repeated cobra flows and Chaturanga-style push-ups, while the second half shifts to long-held hip openers (bound angle, reclined hip stretches, supine leg lifts, plow/shoulder stand), supine twists, and seated meditation on gratitude. Throughout, Bryan explicitly invites students to modify, skip poses, or rest, making the class accessible despite its vigorous framing. The session closes with a guided mindfulness/gratitude meditation and a short Savasana.

Shorter, less intense version of nooks & crannies – solid and fatigued.
