About This Class

Bryan Kest guides a brisk yet deeply sensation-focused warm-up flow designed for busy people who want to touch every part of the body in a short amount of time. The class opens in Child's Pose to establish deep, smooth nasal breathing — the through-line of the entire practice — before moving into Downward Facing Dog, standing side bends, forward folds, Plank, Cobra, and progressively layered Locust variations that build spinal strength and open the chest and upper back. A Down Dog twist adds a brief shoulder and side-body stretch, followed by Dolphin Pose for shoulder and upper-back opening. The standing sequence revisits lateral side bends with longer holds, then the practice transitions to the floor for Baddha Konasana (Butterfly), a wide-legged seated pose, Navasana-inspired balancing, and supine twists. Throughout, Bryan consistently invites students to back off, bend their knees, or put their knees down, emphasizing personal sensation over depth or appearance. The class closes in Savasana with a recommended minimum of three minutes of rest.

This is my go-to class when I’ve been away from yoga for a while. It’s the perfect way to get back into it and feel great.
