About This Class

Bryan Kest's "Sweet Morning Stroll" is a 64-minute dynamic flow class built around the philosophy of loving, mindful self-maintenance — using creative movement to "touch every bone, joint, muscle, connective tissue, and organ you own." The class opens with deep, free breathing and several rounds of Sun Salutation-style sequences (Downward Dog, Cobra, Plank) that steadily build warmth. From there it moves through a rich standing sequence on each side: Warrior I, Crescent Lunge, Reverse Lunge, Triangle, and a bound side-angle variation, all woven together with standing balances including Airplane (Warrior III variation) and bent-knee balancing. Hip openers — including a deep pigeon-style pose and lizard — are featured prominently, as are quad and hip-flexor stretches in low-lunge and crescent positions. A Dolphin pose serves as an upper-body strengthener. The class closes with supine core work (scissor legs), Bridge Pose, spinal twists, and a long Savasana with a brief gratitude meditation. Throughout, Bryan emphasizes breath, gentleness, personal sensation over alignment dogma, and the idea that yoga is a maintenance practice for longevity — making this an ideal choice for those seeking a thorough, feel-good morning movement experience without excessive intensity.

Exactly what was needed after a day hunched over a laptop. Strong standing and balancing sequence as only BK can lead. Some nice shoulder stretches and a backbend. Challenging but not overwhelming. Thank you B&M
