About This Class

Bryan Kest leads a richly layered dynamic flow that begins with child's pose and a mindful breathing foundation before progressing through three carefully constructed warm-up sequences — each adding complexity and intensity. The first sequence establishes the sun-salutation-like spine, the second introduces chair pose and crescent lunges, and the third adds core twists, heart-opening backbends, and lizard-style forearm dips. A dedicated upper-body and back-strengthening floor segment follows, featuring one-armed down dog twists, awkward airplane balances, bow pose variations, locust, and full cobra holds. The class then moves into headstand, seated bound angle forward fold, reverse tabletop hip lifts, and a boat-pose core sequence with spinal twists, before landing in supine twists and a seated gratitude meditation. Throughout, Bryan emphasizes breath synchronization, sensation-based depth (never aesthetics), and the philosophical framing of yoga as "steering the mind." The class closes in an extended savasana framed as integration, restoration, and mental decompression.

I’m really loving these latest flows. Sooooo strong and sweat. And the head stand was an unexpected but most appreciated gift. Some constructive criticism: I miss the closing of the shavasana like you used to do it. Recordings end a little too abruptly these days. Keep up the excellent work.
