About This Class

This 108-minute class opens unusually slowly on the back — supine knee squeezes, reclined twists, bridge variations on tiptoes, shoulder stand, plow, and boat-family poses — before transitioning through down dog flows with knee-to-elbow core work, standing balance sequences (warrior III variations, "Bruce Lee" leg extensions, figure-four squats, toe-balance with extended leg), wide-legged forward folds, seated and supine hip openers (figure-four, bound ankle pose, deep pigeon-adjacent floor stretches), lateral side bends, cobra progressions including a deep backbend option, reclined twists, and a reclined quadriceps stretch. Throughout, the instructor relentlessly returns attention to deep, free breath as the primary tool for quieting the mind, framing the physical practice as a preparation for meditation. The class closes with an extended seated silent meditation followed by a richly detailed guided "Rocket Ship" visualization focused on compassion and collective healing. Gentleness, moderation, self-awareness, and non-comparison are the philosophical pillars woven into every cue.
