About This Class
Paradise Flow is a one-hour dynamic yoga class taught by Bryan Kest in a warm room, designed to be simultaneously challenging and deeply introspective. The class opens with several minutes of breathwork and mindfulness framing before moving into a structured six-movement flow — Down Dog, forward fold, Cobra, Plank, Crescent Lunge, and Warrior — repeated multiple times on both sides to build familiarity and warmth. From there, Bryan layers in increasingly complex balance and strength sequences including Warrior, Triangle, standing leg lifts, Awkward Airplane, bent-knee balancing, Figure-Four standing (piriformis stretch), and Bird of Paradise — all performed with an emphasis on equanimity, smooth breath, and finding a personal "sweet spot" rather than pushing to extremes. A dedicated backbend sequence includes Camel pose on the knees. The class closes with a seated forward fold, supine twists, a double-knee squeeze, and an extended Savasana with breath-awareness meditation. Throughout, Bryan weaves in teachings on mindfulness, ego, humility, and the philosophy that yoga is a quality of mind rather than a physical achievement. The warm environment and slow-burn pacing make this ideal for releasing full-body tension, recovering from a sedentary lifestyle, and building both strength and flexibility in equal measure.
