About This Class

This expansive class opens supine with breath-setting and moves through an intelligently sequenced full-body flow that balances upper-body strengthening (arm balances, plank, cobra, baby arm balance) with deep lower-body work (lizard/low lunge, runner's lunge, crescent lunge, wide-legged forward fold, pigeon-like hip openers, and reclined twists). A sustained shoulder stand anchors the early practice, celebrated as the "king of all yoga poses" for its inversion benefits. Sun-salutation-style vinyasa segments build heat gradually, while long-hold hip and hamstring stretches — including a Hanumanasana progression, supine figure-four, and seated wide-leg forward fold — form the heart of the second half. Throughout, Bryan frames every pose as a sensuous, meditative conversation with the body, explicitly discouraging aggression and encouraging moderation. The class closes with a seated gratitude meditation and an extended Savasana, making mindfulness and stress relief as central as the physical work. Props (blocks) are referenced for modification. Suitable for practitioners comfortable with flow sequences who want a long, immersive practice that honours both effort and ease.

Loved the yin with the yang!! I missed a little more dancing type flow like warm up #2 but I certainly cherished it. Thank you!

Great class! The little tidbit about couples counseling was so apropos for me and my partner who just began. Thank you for letting me know the universe was listening. My kiddos have been ready for mateos class but can’t join because zoom is asking for a passcode! 🙁
