About This Class
This 104-minute vigorous flow class builds progressively through three warm-up sequences — each adding complexity — before moving into challenging arm balances, twists, deep hip and hamstring openers, core work, and inversions. Bryan Kest begins gently on the back with supine twists and bridge variations, moves through shoulder stand (Sarvangasana) and plow (Halasana), then layers in crescent lunges, prayer twists, crow-to-chaturanga transitions, and deep hip-flexor stretches culminating in Hanumanasana (splits). Core sequences including Navasana and single-leg balance work are threaded throughout. The instructor consistently frames every pose as a personal buffet — students choose their depth — and uses the concept of sensuality and mindful listening as the metaphorical spine of the class. A sustained breath-awareness cue runs from start to finish, with the class closing in a meditation of gratitude and a long resting pose (Savasana). The overall tone is philosophical and introspective even amid vigorous movement, making it equally a mental and physical practice.
