About This Class
Bryan Kest leads a long-form, dynamic flow session designed to touch every corner of the body while training the mind to stay calm and present. The class opens in Child's Pose with an extended focus on deep nasal breathing as the foundation of both movement and meditation. From there, it builds methodically through multiple rounds of sun salutation-style flows (Downward Dog, standing forward fold, cobra, plank, Chaturanga), progressively adding complexity: single-leg standing balances, Runner's Lunge, Balancing Lunge, Half Moon-style arm variation, three-legged Dog twists, side plank, prone backbends including Cobra, Bow Pose, and locust variations, deep hip openers including Pigeon Pose and lizard/low lunge, seated Butterfly/Baddha Konasana, supine core leg lowering, Plow Pose, Shoulderstand, and finishing with supine spinal twists. Throughout, Bryan emphasizes finding a personal "sweet spot" between too much and too little, softening the neck, keeping breath free, and treating every transition as part of the meditation. The class is explicitly framed around whole-body wellness, stress reduction, spinal health, maintaining range of motion as we age, and practicing calm through difficulty — making it as much a mindfulness practice as a physical workout.
