About This Class
This evening power yoga flow with Travis Eliot opens in Child's Pose with Sama Vritti (balanced breath) and Ujjayi pranayama to settle the nervous system before building steadily into an integrative series of Sun Salutation variations. The class then moves through multiple rounds of a standing-flow sequence featuring Chair Pose, Warrior One, Humble Warrior, and Eagle Pose (Garudasana), with each cycle increasing in pace and complexity. Dynamic single-leg balances — Warrior Three, Standing Splits, and Twisting Triangle — are woven throughout, requiring simultaneous strength, flexibility, and concentration. Lunging Prayer Twists, Runner's Lunge with open-arm variations, and Pigeon Pose provide deep hip and thoracic release on both sides. Core work appears in Forearm Plank holds and knee-to-tricep variations. The descent into the floor includes Dandasana forward fold, Happy Baby, Plow Pose, Shoulder Stand, a supine box-breathing exercise, and reclining spinal twists before a generous Shavasana. The class is framed around the union of effort and ease, mindfulness, gratitude, and energetic purification through breath and movement.

Can’t go wrong with a Travis practice! Nice variety, no repetitiveness, steady move and a great mix of sweat and stretch. Almost wish there was a little more flow. Thank you!
