About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this 64-minute vigorous flow with a philosophy-first approach: deep nasal breathing is the central thread, framed as the gateway to a quiet, focused mind and a truly healing practice. The class opens in child's pose and downward facing dog before moving into a rehearsed six-movement sun-salutation-style sequence (standing forward fold, plank, cobra, down dog) that builds into a fluid, Tai Chi-like flow. Standing balance work includes warrior-III-style airplane pose, half-moon, and single-leg balance sequences on both sides, each layered with hip and shoulder opening. Prone back-strengthening is revisited multiple times — locust variations with arms wide, bow pose (dhanurasana), and cobra — with explicit emphasis on the muscles that support the spine. A creative squat-balancing shoulder-and-spinal-twist sequence, a wrist-and-forearm toe-balance stretch for the feet, and a wide-legged forward fold with hands clasped behind the back target the upper body. Seated work includes bound angle (baddha konasana), navasana (boat pose) repeated with core holds and archer's pose (akarna dhanurasana). The sequence concludes with a gentle plow/shoulder-stand inversion, supine spinal twists, and a guided gratitude meditation before savasana. Throughout, Bryan emphasizes softness, self-listening, spinal decompression, and cultivating calmness as a "muscle."

Moderate beginning with strength at the end. Not much cardio or legs, more back and core, butterfly stretch.
