About This Class

Bryan Kest guides a 66-minute gentle, low-paced class that weaves together mindfulness philosophy and deliberate physical movement. Beginning supine with breath-setting and knee-to-chest warm-ups, the class progresses through bridge pose, shoulder stand, plow, and wide-legged seated forward folds before moving into a grounded standing sequence featuring down dog, three-legged dog, knee-to-elbow core work, and deep lunge hip openers with optional quad stretches and spinal twists. A brief standing section introduces a forward fold with interlaced hands, side-body lateral stretches, and a backbend before returning to the floor for supine leg stretches, figure-four hip openers, supine twists, and a seated neck/trapezius release. The class closes with an extended gratitude meditation and Savasana. Bryan explicitly frames the practice as a tool for releasing tension, building presence, and calming the nervous system, making it especially well-suited for those dealing with stress, tightness from sitting, tight hips and hamstrings, and general stiffness. He encourages constant self-modification and cautions against pushing through pain, noting that forcing the cervical spine in shoulder stand can be harmful.
