About This Class
This full-length flow class with Bryan Kest opens in child's pose with a foundational emphasis on deep nasal breathing and meditative presence before building into a carefully rehearsed sun-salutation-style sequence: down dog, side-opening variations, plank, cobra, and locust. The class then progresses through single-leg balancing sequences — including standing splits, warrior III / airplane arms, half-moon, and standing knee-to-chest holds — always framing effort as a vehicle for practicing inner calm rather than physical achievement. Floor work features prone back-strengthening (locust, bow), supine hip openers (happy baby, bound angle / baddha konasana), wide-leg hamstring stretches, core series (leg lowers, scissors, boat-like holds), and inversions (plow, shoulder stand). The session closes with spinal twists, a full-body squeeze, and an extended savasana. Throughout, Bryan repeatedly invites students to back off, take breaks, and honor injuries or life circumstances, making the class inclusive by design. The overarching message is that breath quality, humility, and stress reduction are the true goals — not flexibility or strength per se.

Awesome class. I was so zened out in savasana, totally letting it all synthesize…so when you spoke again to end class, I thought a man walked into my place, until I came back down to earth!
