About This Class
In this short instructional class, Bryan Kest breaks down Chaturanga Dandasana step by step using a live demonstration. Starting from Down Dog, students move through Plank before lowering into Chaturanga — the goal being to hover the torso a few inches off the floor with a straight line from hips to crown. Bryan emphasizes common alignment pitfalls (collapsing hips or chest), offers two elbow variations (tucked vs. slightly flared), and strongly encourages the knees-down modification for most practitioners. The class is purely pose-focused and technique-driven, making it ideal for anyone wanting to understand and safely practice this foundational arm-support posture.

Great details and getting back to basics of the pose. When practicing yoga regularly I find myself using momentum or adaptive poses at times to make the poses less intense. This is a great way to re-engage. Thank you!
