About This Class
Burn Bridges is a focused, floor-based flow dedicated to building strength and conditioning in the glutes, hamstrings, and inner thighs through deliberate, slow-motion bridge pose work. Instructor Desiree Crossman guides students through progressive variations: unweighted bridges with spinal articulation, block-squeeze bridges to intensify inner-thigh engagement, single-leg elevated bridges with hip pulses on each side, and dual-block bridges that demand maximum control. The hallmark of the class is intentional slowness — every lift and descent is performed one vertebra at a time, and small pulses are counted down from ten to maximize muscular burn. The class closes with a supported bridge over a sacral block for passive release, followed by happy baby pose to decompress the spine. Props (two blocks) are integral to the sequence. It is ideal for anyone looking to target the posterior chain, combat weak glutes, or complement running and athletic training.
