About This Class
This class opens with leisurely Dragon Pose and half-split stretches to establish nose-only breathing before moving into a structured warm-up of Down Dog, Plank, Low Cobra, and Locust flows. The pace builds through two warm-up series and a detailed lunge-flow rehearsal (Dragon, One-Leg Down Dog, Standing Split, Crescent, Lizard) before introducing standing balance sequences — Warrior Three, Half Moon, Warrior Two, and Side Angle with optional bind. Backbends are the throughline and escalate from Low Cobra and Locust to Bow (held multiple times for up to ten breaths), half-Camel variations in Dragon lunges, full Camel (Ustrasana), Wild Thing/Flip Dog, and a final peak of Bridge or full Wheel (Urdhva Dhanurasana). The instructor frames backbends as energizing and emotionally opening, encouraging a spirit of vulnerability and self-paced exploration throughout. The cool-down sequences through Happy Baby, Plow, Shoulderstand, supine twists, and an extended Savasana, with consistent emphasis on deep nasal breathing as the meditative anchor of the entire experience.

Great class only qualm is that it’s labeled with a 71 min run time on the thumbnail but actually has a 81 min runtime so i ended running a bit late to my next thing.

I rate my yoga classes by if I smile or not during it. Well I found myself smiling all the way thru this awesome class ????. Backbends are not my fave, but this class is so much more than backbends. Sir, you’ve outdone yourself with this one ????????
