About This Class

Bryan Kest guides this extended, breath-first power flow through a carefully layered warm-up before ramping into sustained intensity. The class opens in Child's Pose and Downward Dog, then builds through multiple rounds of a sun-salutation-style series (cobra, plank, Down Dog) that gradually incorporates standing lunge variations, Warrior/Crescent Lunge, twisting lunges, and core-engaging knee-to-elbow movements. Standing balancing poses — including a one-legged "airplane" balance and Hanumanasana (splits) preparation — develop strength and mobility through the hips, hamstrings, glutes, and spine. Side-plank variations, supine leg-lift core work, a shoulder-opener bound in Parsvakonasana, and a shoulderstand (Sarvangasana) round out the physical practice. Throughout, Bryan emphasises nasal breathing, self-regulation, and meeting one's own edge rather than pushing past it, explicitly inviting modifications such as dropping the knee or skipping suggestions that don't fit the body. The class closes with a seated meditation of gratitude and a full Savasana, making it as much a mindfulness practice as a physical one.
