There are many universal laws yet underlining all of them is the law of “change.” This is truly the law of our reality. You cannot imagine anything that you will not have to say goodbye to because everything is always changing. The yogis discovered that all human suffering comes from one place and that place is called “attachment.” The more attached you are to anything the more you will suffer, as that to which you are attached will change. Our medical community, including the American Medical Association, is stating that most all disease is emanating from mental stress. Is there a greater foundation to this type of stress than “not being ok with what is?” In other words, “not being able to let go of what was or what you want or expect.”
This law of change is witnessed everywhere. This law is in that attraction you had that is no longer there. It is in those trendy clothes that are now out of style, it is in that fresh fruit that is now rotting and in the lines of your face. I have heard that within a year’s period every cell in your body has died and regenerated.
Disease is not letting go (this equals stress!) Health is letting go (this equals peace!) Letting go is easier when one has trust or faith. The foundation of stress is “not being ok with what is.” Trusting your process means being ok with what is. If you are ok with what is, your situation will produce less stress and tension. Being ok with what is does not mean you like it. It means you accept or trust it!
Why should you accept or trust your experience? Because your experiences are what makes you uniquely you! Your experience is shaping you, strengthening and softening you, stretching you and teaching you! Because your teacher in this life is your experience and you can’t learn from a teacher or an experience you’re hating and rejecting. So, trusting, accepting or even embracing your experience is synonymous with growth and peace. When you understand your experience is your teacher and the growth that ensues will benefit you although it may be challenging, it’s easier to accept. With acceptance, experiences may still be difficult yet they’re not poisonous as we wisely accept as opposed to hating, resisting etc…

If we offer no resistance to life, and live in a state of grace, ease, and lightness – it’s like a river.
If challenged, it’s like a golden opportunity to practice flowing like a river.
If we employ our gift of levity and sense of humor to help flow us through the river, we can even smile.
