About This Class

Bryan Kest leads this sensuous, full-body flow through a progressive warm-up on the mat — starting in child's pose and downward facing dog — before building through repeated rounds of plank-to-cobra, locust variations, and bow pose. The standing sequence layers single-leg balances, warrior-like hip openers, warrior III-style airplane balancing, standing twists, figure-four squats, and leg-lift holds, all woven together with fluid transitions. The floor-based closing section delivers seated forward folds with hamstring work, a double-leg boat pose with oblique twists, deep figure-four hip stretches (supine pigeon variations), and reclined spinal twists, finishing in a long Savasana. Throughout, Bryan emphasizes breath-led movement, self-authority, gentleness over intensity, and using muscular engagement to create spinal decompression and length. Modifications and early exits are consistently offered; no specific contraindications are called out explicitly.
