About This Class
Bryan Kest leads this aptly named "Wham Bam Hips and Hams" flow with his signature philosophy: breath is the priority, sensitivity trumps depth, and every pose is a fresh discovery. The class opens gently from child's pose into downward-facing dog, then moves through a methodical warm-up of cobra, plank, and sun salutation-style flows before diving deep into the hip and hamstring work. Standing sequences include twisting triangle, extended triangle, pyramid-style forward folds, and a wide-legged forward bend with lateral reaches. A standout floor segment features dolphin pose, knee-to-elbow core work, and the floor frog (a wide-knee, heel-wider-than-knee hip opener with forearms down and tailbone tucked). The class closes with supine figure-four hip openers on both sides, supine spinal twists, and an extended gratitude meditation before savasana. Throughout, Bryan encourages students to treat each pose with beginner's mind, back off when needed, and use the challenge as training ground for calm. The overall effect is a thorough, mindful release of the hips, hamstrings, glutes, and lower back, with supporting work in the shoulders, spine, and core.

big world , little world. Love the training of the mind to turn to benevolent qualities! So super cool! like a grass roots effort to encourage each individual human being to be responsible for their own peace and calm. Niiiiice ! no “peace and calm” in the hand out line. keep making me go inside to acquire it ! yes!
