About This Class
This richly layered flow class opens on the ground with wide-kneed Child's Pose and deliberate pranayama, establishing nasal breath as the constant through-line before a single movement begins. From all-fours Cat-Cow warm-ups and a methodical first Downward Facing Dog, the class builds through standing sequences that visit Warrior Two, Extended Side Angle, Reverse Warrior, Crescent, open-arm and revolved lunge twists, Triangle, and the challenging balancing arc of Half Moon (Ardha Chandrasana) → Dancer's Pose → Eagle legs and arms → Standing Splits → three-legged Down Dog → Pigeon. Both sides are worked fully and symmetrically. Core work surfaces throughout — high plank holds, knee-to-nose transitions, low-boat and scissor kicks — while floor-based backbends (Cobra, Upward Facing Bow/Dhanurasana) appear in the later portion. The class closes with a supine balancing sequence, eagle-leg twists, spinal decompression circles, and a long Savasana. The instructor, Temitope Sonuyi, frames the entire practice around uninhibited, unashamed breath, using vivid poetic imagery ("yellow brick road of breath," "forest of power," "twisty straw") to guide practitioners into nooks and crannies of each pose. No props are called for, and the pace is moderate-to-vigorous with moments of deliberate slowness in transitions.

Excellent class. Unique, challenging flows, you don’t feel the time and it’s already over

Building heat, indeed! Nothing quick about it though, lots of long holds. Challenging and invigorating. Thank you!
