About This Class
Dan Ward leads this dynamic 33-minute flow through a carefully sequenced journey of twisting and alignment work. The class opens on the back with breath awareness and a pelvic release, then moves into supine hamstring stretches with a lateral rolling component. Seated Sukhasana and Sufi circles warm up the spine before a Virasana-based reclined quad and hip sequence. The standing flow includes chair pose with spinal twists, crescent lunge, Ardha Hanuman (half splits), Parsvottanasana (pyramid pose), and Parivrtta Trikonasana (twisting triangle) on both sides. A vinyasa thread — plank, Chaturanga, cobra or upward dog, downward dog — links the standing sequences. The class closes with pigeon pose, a supine bridge variation, and a long Savasana with arms in cactus. Dan consistently cues breath, skin awareness in hand holds, and functional alignment over depth, making this class well-suited for those dealing with tight hamstrings, hip tightness, back stiffness, or desk-related posture issues. Props such as blocks are mentioned as tools for accessing the right work, not for going deeper.

Incredibly gentle class, I wouldn’t classify this as power yoga or a dynamic flow. moving beyond that it was a great gentle stretching class.

Wow that felt so amazing! Dan you have a gift. I didn’t want vigorous today, I wanted deep. This was it. Great stretches, twists and ahhhh. Thank you!!

I loved the slow, deliberate movement through a nice variety of twists. Everything felt touched without the threat of my tweaking something which I have to watch out for when a twist is thrown into a more active practice.
