About This Class

Bryan Kest opens this Monday flow with an intentional "slip in slowly" philosophy — using child's pose, gentle cobras, and sun-salutation rounds to warm the body before escalating into a rich standing sequence. The heart of the class is a detailed one-legged balancing series (airplane pose with dynamic arm and knee variations), deep crescent lunges with twists, side-angle options, low lizard/hip-flexor openers, and exploratory splits progressions that target the hamstrings and quadriceps simultaneously. Seated wide-leg forward folds, supine twists, and a gentle camel/quad-stretch sequence round out the physical practice. Throughout, Bryan frames every pose as a mindfulness drill — the breath is the non-negotiable constant, and the physical challenge is recast as practice for staying calm through life's difficulties. The class closes with a five-minute guided gratitude meditation in a comfortable seat, followed by savasana, making it as much a mental training session as a physical one.

I loved this flow! Did it at the end of a long day – so great for an early evening too! “Enter a region gently, stay calm, keep the breath moving, and hope for the best.” I’m copying and pasting that now somewhere to keep coming back to. Thank you, Bryan and Melissa.

Great lower body strength/stamina segment! Just what I need for a return to backpacking as the snow melts up high. I may have to return to this one.
