About This Class

This flow class opens with Vajrasana and Ujjayi breathwork, inviting students to settle into present-moment awareness before layering in movement. The instructor threads a consistent "rebound" theme throughout — rooting down to rise up — applied in poses from Sphinx and Cobra to Chair Pose and Eagle. The sequence progresses through Cat Stretch, Half Down Dog, Plank, Chaturanga, and a full menu of backbends (Sphinx, Locust, Cobra, Upward Dog), then moves into hip-opening work via Runner's Lunge, Lizard Pose, and Pigeon (both backbending and forward-folding variations), alongside Dolphin and Forearm Plank for core and shoulder strength. Standing work includes Chair Pose with twists, standing side bends, Warrior-family lunges with twists, wide-legged forward folds, Malasana, Boat Pose, Pada Hastasana, and Eagle Pose. The class closes with seated cross-legged stretches framed as a seated meditation, a reclined meditation with knees falling open, and a long Savasana. Throughout, the instructor repeatedly emphasizes therapeutic breathing, joint integrity over range of motion, and non-striving awareness — making the class suitable for a broad range of practitioners seeking both physical opening and a mindful, calming experience.
