About This Class

This class weaves myofascial release techniques together with a flowing yoga sequence to address mobility throughout the entire body, with a strong emphasis on the thoracic spine, hips, hamstrings, and ankles. The instructor opens with seated hip joint circles in Sukhasana, Cat-Cow, and kneeling thoracic rotations before moving into a standing flow that includes Crescent Pose, Pyramid, Warrior Two, Reverse Warrior, Triangle, and Half Moon. Fascia-spreading drills — alternating between fingertip heel-lifts and flat-palm tippy-toe movements — appear repeatedly to target the backs of the knees and calves. The sequence builds heat and mobility simultaneously through vinyasas linking Cobra/Up Dog and Down Dog, while grounding cues around the big toe and inner thighs reinforce structural stability. A floor-based closing section features Puppy Dog Pose for upper-back opening, a deer/pigeon-esque hip-opener with shoulder threading, and a seated forward fold, before settling into Savasana. The instructor frames the practice around the interplay of breath, fascia, muscle memory, and the parasympathetic nervous system, making it equally relevant for athletes recovering from sports, desk workers with postural tightness, or anyone seeking greater joint freedom.

Nice class with good stretches. New and different movements for me such as the figure-8 moves with the elbows! Fun to learn new moves and have a great stretch, thanks Byron! 🙂
